Families for Effective Autism Treatment
(FEAT) of Washington
FEAT has grown from its initial six families in 1996 to over 800 today. Most FEAT families develop and implement intensive in-home ABA programs for their children with autism with little outside support and FEAT of Washington helps these families by providing them with necessary informational and training resources.
In addition to supporting families through mentoring and providing resources, FEAT currently, serves more than 300 students each year in its clinical programs and provides more than 22,000 hours of high quality intervention through its clinical services programs..
Our Mission:
to provide families with hope and guidance to help their children with autism reach their full potential.
Our vision:
We will:
•
Reach families at pivotal transition times: be the initial contact, guide to the next transition, and provide the next connection point
•
Provide support, guidance, and resources for families and professionals in the community
•
Promote easy access to effective behavioral interventions
•
Develop, pilot and drive adoption of replicable programs that fill the niche that isn’t being filled
•
Promote a society that values and fully integrates people with autism
