Applications

Please Note: Since its inception, FEAT consistently receives more applications to the SIP than it can accommodate.  Given this, we strongly recommend that you complete and turn in your application as soon as possible to increase the chances that your child can attend the program.

Summer Intervention Program

About the Summer Intervention Program

Started in 2002 , FEAT's Summer Intervention Program (SIP) provides students with an autism spectrum disorder and their typically developing peers with an exceptional summer educational experience based on ABA.  Serving over 60 students between the ages of 4 and 12 years old each summer at two different sites, the SIP offers enrolled students the opportunity to receive highly skilled instruction in social skills, language skills, reading skills, mathematics skills, and writing skills.
The SIP Classrooms

With a staff-to-student ratio of 1 to 3, the classrooms within SIP are arranged by curriculum focus area, age, and skill level. For example, within the curriculum focus area of language skills, FEAT will offer classrooms for lower skilled younger students, higher skilled younger students, lower skilled older students, and higher skilled older students.  All of the SIP classrooms also focus heavily on improving students' social skills.
