Relevant Professional or Work Experience: I have worked as a care provider for learning impaired children for almost four years. I have worked specifically with children afflicted with autism for approximately 3 years. During this time, I have used ABA therapy techniques with much success.
Relevant Personal Characteristics: I have a positive attitude, tons of energy, and real love for what I do. I've never been in this for the money, I just love the kids and how genuine they are (regardless of the behavior).

Educational Background: As of right now I only have my High School Diploma from Kentridge Senior High School. I took a few Early Childhood Education classes my Senior year that counted as college credits. They included Early Childhood Development where I was able to volunteer in a preschool, and I took Careers With Children where I was a teacher's aid for a sixth grade teacher. I am planning on going back to school in the Spring and going into teaching for special needs children.
Relevant Professional or Work Experience: I used to volunteer in a preschool that had mostly special needs children, a few had Autism. The children ranged from three to five years old. For the past year I've been volunteering in a kindergarten class a few times a month. I've also been a babysitter for 3 years for a family with a daughter who has Autism, who is now 16. I was a nanny for a little over a year for two children, a boy and a girl. The girl was 8 when I started and the boy was around 10 or 11 months.
Relevant Personal Characteristics: I've always loved working with children and I would love to have a career that involves them. I can't see myself having a job that doesn't involve me working with children. I've always been told by people that I have a patience for children like no one they know. I'd also say I am enthusiastic and energetic too.
