Educational Background:     I have just completed my first year as a doctoral student in the University of Washington's Special Education program. My area of specialization is attention deficits and outdoor education, although I have learned a great deal about ASD in my first year programs. I received my Master's Degree in Education, emphasis in curriculum and instruction, in 2009.

Relevant Professional or Work Experience:   I have worked as a program coordinator and instructor in the Highline School District for several years,working one on one or in small groups with children to help them understand science curriculum. I worked with a diverse group of children with various disabilities as well as typically developing children. While I am not specifically trained in ABA, I have worked with children and teachers to arrange effective learning environments for students who do not respond to typical instruction.

(NBA) in Bellevue and love it but until I am certified, can not work more than 25 hours with the company.  I am interested in being an in-home therapist full time, especially if there are any families in the Seattle area.  I have been in this specific field since December of 2009 and it has become my passion.  Once certified (in over a year most likely), I would like to be a BCBA full time.
