Educational Background: I have an Associates Degree in Social Science from Pierce College. I have one year of additional college from the University of Washington-Tacoma in Urban Studies, and I am currently working on completing my Bachelor's Degree in a new major, Psychology, through Excelsior College.
Relevant Professional or Work Experience: For the last two years, I have worked as an Attendant Counselor at the Rainier State School in Buckley, WA working with developmentally disabled adults. It was here that I first heard about ABA, and became increasingly interested in the field.
Relevant Personal Characteristics: I am particularly skilled in maladaptive behavior deescalation. This comes from my easy-going demeanor combined with my persistent nature.

Educational Background: I have a BA from WSU, 1996, in Social Science.
Relevant Professional or Work Experience: I worked as a para-educator for special needs children in Eastern Washington for 5 years. I am currently a subsitute para-educator for the Puyallup School District. Most of my assignments are working with special needs children, and I have had numerous opportunities to work in exclusive autism programs.
Relevant Personal Characteristics: I rejected being a teacher beacuse I saw so many children that couldn't be successful learners because of other "stuff" that got in the way of their traditional education. I would LOVE to help a child be more successful in his/her world and public school. I am interested in pursuing autism training and learning opportunities. I am dependable, calm, and nice.
