FEAT's Board of Directors
Eric Brechner, PhD
Eric Brechner is the proud father of two boys. His younger son was diagnosed with autism just before his second birthday. Following five years of intensive therapy and nearly two years of supplemental therapy, his son now works independently in a typical sixth-grade classroom and gets refrigerator door-quality grades. Dr. Brechner and his wife, Karen, have been active members of FEAT for more than ten years. He works to develop autism insurance benefits and serves as the FEAT representative to the UW Autism Center board. In the neurologically typical world, Dr. Brechner is the director of engineering learning and development for Microsoft Corporation. He is a published author, holds eight patents, has a BS and MS in mathematics, a PhD in applied mathematics from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute, and is a certified performance technologist. He enjoys playing bridge, coaching his younger son’s Math Olympiad team, and keeping score for his older son’s basketball and baseball teams.
Arti Bhatia
Arti is an account manager for the hosting business at Microsoft. She has a 5-year-old son in Rising Star Academy. She’s also a mentor for around 20 families impacted by autism in the Indian community. Arti has been a board member for the Human Society and raised money for education in India. She joined the FEAT board to support an organization closer to her home and her heart.
Michael Luckevich
Michael has been a member of FEAT since 1998 when his son was diagnosed at age two and a half. Michael has been a member of the FEAT Board of Directors since 2006 and has recently served as the board president. In addition to a home based program, his son has attended public school since his 3rd Birthday - first in the Issaquah School District and now in the Mercer Island School District. He also participates in research studies at the UW. Michael is now retired after a career as a Management and IT Consultant concluding in the role of Vice President at Hitachi Consulting. He volunteers for FEAT and other non-profit organizations. As a published author in the non-fiction business category, he is now trying his hand at writing fiction.
Ken Kido
Ken Kido joined the FEAT board fall 2009. Ken comes from the finance industry and has a child in our Summer Intervention Program. He’s a great believer in autism treatment and has a strong home program. Ken has been a board member of the Seattle Science Center. He really likes FEAT’s focus on families, and is excited to join us.
Gary McGrath
Gary McGrath is one of FEAT’s newest Board members. Gary’s family includes his wife Donna and his two boys Patrick age 14; and Reed age 20. Reed was diagnosed with autism at age 4. As a family, the McGrath’s have been involved in many autism organizations in Massachusetts, Wisconsin and Washington. The McGrath’s have lived in the Seattle area since 1998.
Reed has been fortunate to receive wonderful care from many health and educational professionals over the years. The McGrath’s are anxious to see that all families affected with autism receive effective treatment so that each and every person diagnosed with autism may reach their full potential.
Now retired, most recently Gary was Vice President of Sales and a senior officer at Pyramid Breweries. Gary’s career consists of senior sales and marketing roles at leading consumer product goods companies where he was responsible for setting strategic direction while also building and leading effective teams.
Patrick Giusti
Patrick Giusti joined the FEAT board of directors in April 2010. Patrick is an IT professional at Oracle Corporation where he helps companies in multiple industries become more efficient and innovative through the use of technology and business applications.
He has become passionate about helping families affected by Autism and specializes in fundraising, community awareness and working to bring the best resources to the Puget Sound community.
Patrick has been involved in multiple community organizations in the area, serving on the Board of Trustees of the MS Society and working on fundraising and corporate events with the Ronald McDonald House of Seattle.
Patrick lives in Woodinville with his wife Mary and two sons Baran (9)and Augie (7).
Eric Reichanadter
Born and raised in Northwest Indiana, Eric studied Engineering at Purdue University in the Midwest (BSIE ’84) and Finance at Berkeley (MBA ’94) in route to a 25 year construction career that he enjoys a great deal. This path has led him to his current role as Chief Executive Officer and Managing Principal of Prime Electric, Inc. in Bellevue.
Marriage to Jacqueline Ann in 1990 was followed by the birth of Jonathan Tyler (1993) and Austin Maxwell (1994). The family’s introduction to autism occurred in 1998 when the family's youngest member was diagnosed with autism (PDD-NOS) in Portland, Oregon. Ten years later, Austin is progressing nicely with influence and therapy from multiple Washington area autism organizations. Central to that effort is our relationship with FEAT which we have enjoyed and benefited from since shortly after arriving in Seattle a decade ago.
Eric is honored to serve on the FEAT board and do all that is necessary to advance the progress in addressing, minimizing or curing the effects of autism for all persons Western Washington and throughout the world.
Jacki Reichanadter
Jacqueline A. Reichanadter has been an advocate of autism research, treatment and cure since 1998 when her youngest child Austin was diagnosed in Portland, Oregon. A supporting member of our organization for over 10 years, FEAT has been with Jacqueline for her entire path with autism. A graduate of the University of Pittsburgh, Jacqueline spent 12 years with Westinghouse Electric's Power Generation Group in Northern California when an opportunity came up to relocate with her family to the Northwest. For the past decade, Jacqueline has been very active in supporting autism support organization and other non-profits and has contributed time, money and expertise to Junior League of Seattle, LWSD PTSA, FEAT, ASTAR Center, and Northwest Behavioral Associates. Woodinville is home to her family which consists of her husband, Eric and her two sons Tyler (15) and Austin (13). She brings a great deal of passion and knowledge regarding our vision for growth and development at FEAT and we are pleased to have her join our board.
Paul Goodwin
Senior Vice President, Onboard Revenue Services and Tour Operations
Paul Goodwin is the senior vice president, onboard revenue services and tour operations for Holland America Line Inc., a unit of Carnival Corporation & plc. Goodwin directs the development and implementation of Holland America Line's onboard revenue, including shore excursions, beverage operations, retail services, spas and salons, casino operations and other revenue outlets. He also holds responsibility for worldwide pre- and post-tours including overall responsibility for Seattle, Alaska and Yukon land operations including the Westmark Hotel and Gray Line of Alaska. A 30-year veteran of the cruise and travel industry, Goodwin joined Holland America Line in December 2003, having served as vice president, pricing and planning at Radisson Seven Seas Cruises. In that position he was responsible for itinerary planning and development, cruise pricing, revenue/yield forecasting and management, shore excursions, land, hotel and air.
Goodwin was also director of passenger services of Regent Seven Seas Cruise Line. Goodwin began his career with Holland America Line in the early 1980's as manager of the Vancouver operation.
Goodwin graduated from the University of British Columbia in Vancouver with a Bachelor's degree in 1983 and lives in Woodinville with his wife and three children.
