FEAT of Washington Seeks New Executive Director
Would you like to apply your grant writing, leadership, and interpersonal skills toward making a personal difference for families impacted by autism? Families for Effective Autism Treatment (FEAT) of Washington provides families with hope and guidance to help their children with autism reach their full potential. We are seeking a new person to lead our programs, staff, and fundraising.
As Executive Director, you will:
- Serve as a full member of the Board of Directors, helping develop strategy, measures, goals, and plans for the organization.
- Implement Board policy and directives, and report quarterly on the organization, budget, and programs.
- Oversee the fundraising, resource, grant and donor development, planning and implementation.
- Manage and direct the operations of the organization, along with its programs and services, in accordance to plans.
- Meet all tax, facilities, and personnel obligations according to current laws and regulations.
- Hire, supervise, and evaluate the staff, including the Clinical Services Director.
- Develop and implement plans for staff development, retention, and compensation, collaborating with the Clinical Services Director, as appropriate.
- Oversee volunteers responsible for the programs such as the Super Saturday program, the List-serve, Mentor program, and Resource Guide.
- Communicate the goals, purposes and programs of the organization to partner organizations, donors, the news media, the membership, and the general public.
To qualify for this leadership role you will need demonstrated ability to write winning grant proposals and run successful fundraisers; two years of experience overseeing a professional staff and a community of volunteers; demonstrated ability to plan, manage, and meet an annual budget; strong written and verbal communication skills; and a passion for helping families impacted by autism. A bachelor’s degree is expected; a master’s degree is preferred.

Salary:
$20,000 to $45,000 annually, depending on experience
Please note: While demands associated with the position will vary, the Executive Director is viewed as a part-time
(.5 FTE) position
