As part of its mission of providing hope and guidance to families, FEAT of Washington is always seeking individuals who would like to become mentors to other families.  Mentors help families learn about FEAT as an organization, and help provide newer members with guidance, information, support, and encouragement.  Becoming a mentor is easy!  Simply fill out this brief form, attend a short training on the basics of the mentorship process, and you'll be all ready to begin mentoring FEAT families.

When you have finished completing this form, please remember to click the SUBMIT button at the bottom of the page.
Please tell us a bit about yourself
Are you currently running an in-home ABA program for your child, or have you run such a program in the past?
What is your preferred method of communicating with FEAT members you may mentor?
If someone you were mentoring would like to call you, what days of the week would be best for you?

(Please check all that apply)
What times of day would generally be better for you if someone you were mentoring wanted to call you?
Typically, mentors will help a given FEAT member for a relatively short amount of time (usually 2 to 3 months).  Given that, how many members do you anticipate that you might be able to mentor in a given year?
When would you be available to attend a short training to help get you started mentoring another FEAT of Washington family?
We often find that mentorship relationships work best when the mentor has something in common with the person they are mentoring.   With that in mind, are there any particular types of families that you would or would not like to mentor?  For example, would you feel comfortable mentoring families with children from all points along the autism spectrum, or would you feel more comfortable if the family's child was similar to your own child in terms of where they fall along the autism spectrum?  Are you interested in mentoring families from particular faith or ethnic backgrounds, or would you feel equally comfortable mentoring families from any faith or ethic background?  Would you prefer to mentor families with children younger than your own child on the autism spectrum, or would you be willing to mentor families with children of varying ages?

Please use the space below to let us know some of this information so that we can do the very best job we can partnering you with other families in need of mentorship.
